Scouting During COVID
A scout is Clean…
With the current pandemic, our scouts have gotten very familiar with the “Clean” portion of the Scout Law. Before every scout meeting, the scouts (under supervision by the scoutmaster, a registered nurse) sanitize the tables and chairs. Also, temperatures are checked, hands are sanitized, and masks are worn at all times when indoors or when outside, close to others, and appropriate distancing is not possible.
The youth leaders have planned a fun year of camp-outs and activities. They found creative ways to be together while socially distancing. From building cardboard boats to horseback riding, from “Roller Chair Keep Away” to “Alaskan Baseball”, the scouts will continue to have a great time. All while continuing to work on scout skills and merit badges.
